Nordin Youhat
Chairman
Nordin is has been practicing longsword since 2019 and is Chairman of Steelbound since 2024. He is an avid tournament fighter, organizer and community leader.
The Steelbound Board
Steelbound in a non-profit foundation (Stichting Steelbound) registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KVK 78655110). It is run by a management board of four people:

Nico Noort, Head Teacher
The board appoints teachers and other volunteer positions, such as webmaster, confidentiality contact, etc.

Longsword Teachers
Nico Noort
Nico has over 18 years of H.E.M.A. experience, as a practitioner, teacher and international tournament fighter. The longsword is his favorite discipline, but he does like learning more about other disciplines, like dagger and wrestling. Nico is also Head Teacher and part of the Steelbound Board.
Jasper Welp
Jasper has been involved in H.E.M.A. since 2013 and enjoys wielding all kinds of weapons, with a particular interest in longsword, pole weapons and archery. He particularly likes the historical aspect and how it gives the opportunity to combine a martial mentality with personal growth.
Fabio Luelmo
Fabio has practiced longsword since 2019 and taught longsword since 2022. This has thoroughly ruined his appreciation for sword fighting in movies and games.
Hartger Teune
Hartger started as assistant longsword teacher in 2026. He enjoys tournament fighting and a wide range of weapons like sword & buckler and saber.

Broadsword Teachers
Jos van Leeuwen
Jos is proficient with longword and broadsword; he takes the lead in developing our Scottish Baskethilt curriculum. When he’s not sparring, he coaches fellow fighters in tournements. Jos is also part of the Steelbound Board as Treasurer.
Pascal Vissers
Pascal teaches broadsword alongside his longsword training. He also has an interest in fantasy games and medieval fairs, where his knowledge of weapons lets him thrive. Pascal is also part of the Steelbound Board as Secretary.

We take social, psychological and physical safety very seriously. We believe it is important that anyone with questions, doubts, comments or complaints can talk to someone about this. Fabio & Saskia are there for anyone who wants to say something about anything that has to do with transgressive behavior observed at Steelbound.
Associations
Steelbound is part of the H.E.M.A.-bond of the Netherlands, and fulfills regular audit conditions.
The H.E.M.A.-bond is in the process of joining the NOC-NSF.
All our teachers are certified for First Aid for Sport Accidents (EHBSO) and have a Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, VOG) from the Dutch Ministry of Justice.
Steelbound complies with the positive sport culture conditions of the WSDH (Werken aan Sportstad Den Haag). Our confidential contacts have training from the NOC-NSF.
