Steelbound has introduction courses in both longsword and broadsword. These take place once or twice a year, usually in the autumn or spring at the Sportcampus Zuiderpark. The Introduction Course takes 7 weeks, either on Monday for broadsword or Friday for longsword, at the same times as the regular lessons in the evening. The cost of an Introduction Course is 49 euro for either weapon. Space is limited so places are given on a first-pay first-serve basis.

The purpose of the Introduction Course is not only to learn basic skills of a weapon. Just as important is learning if you enjoy the atmosphere of Steelbound, get to know our culture and values, and see if our teaching methods suit your style of learning. Regardless of your level of experience with H.E.M.A., the Introduction Course is obligatory should you wish to join the regular lessons. No specialist gear is necessary, as we provide the basics for this course: sport clothes and indoor sport shoes are sufficient.
